Unreal Engine Integrated Partners Program

Document Summary: Details for the Unreal Engine Integrated Partners Program.

Document Changelog: Created by Michael Capps. Maintained by Richard Nalezynski.

The Unreal Engine Integrated Partners Program (IPP) is a mechanism for companies to integrate their tools and middleware into the Unreal Engine. It also gives them the ability to sell their products built atop the Unreal Engine to Unreal Engine licensees.

This program is meant for companies who bring new solutions to the licensed Unreal Engine developers. Thus, Epic is less likely to admit companies with products that provide straightforward replacements for features that already exist in the Unreal Engine, or that are already provided by other partners in the program. The Unreal Engine is a cross-platform product, and thus, the IPP is focused on companies who are licensed console developers.

We'll be providing our partners with the latest Unreal Engine source code, and as part of the program, they're asked to keep their integration code up to date on the last QA-approved build of the Unreal Engine. Another benefit for licensees is that Integrated Partners will be active on our support mailing lists, and will be able to help with questions specific to their integration into the Unreal Engine.

Information for Unreal Engine Licensees

So what do you do if you are a current Unreal Engine licensee, and you would like to work with a member of the Integrated Partners Program? The partner will need to verify that you are indeed a licensee. Simply send an email to ipp@epicgames.com, and carbon copy the appropriate sales person at the partner. (Please make sure to send this mail from the corporate domain for your company, not a free web account.) Epic will respond right away verifying your licensee status.

We're working on automating that process, so you'll simply need to log into UDN and click a button and the verification email will be sent automatically.

Note that working with Integrated Partners requires a fully paid licensed version of the Unreal Engine. An Evaluation of the Unreal Engine is confidential, and while we do give full access to our own support outlets, an Evaluation does not allow for working with Integrated Partners.

Information for potential Integrated Partners

If you're interested in joining the IPP, we'd love to hear from you! Please contact ipp@epicgames.com for a copy of the IPP agreement.
