Modular Level Design Article

Document Summary: An article covering how we go about building levels from modular static meshes.

Lee Perry, the Lead Level Designer on Epic's Gears Of War game wrote an article for Game Developer Magazine that explained how we go about creating complex worlds from modular static mesh pieces. Although the article was written about Unreal Engine 2, our approach has remained very much the same for Unreal Engine 3. This approach is even more valid now, given the increased complexity of each mesh.
