Usage Guidelines

You must adhere to the following guidelines when using any Epic Games, Inc. trademark or logo:

Never modify or alter the trademark

Epic Games' trademarks are brand names and are spelled in a specific way with distinctive capitalization. Never make the trademark possessive, change the spelling, insert hyphens, reorganize were version numbers are placed, make one word into two, or make the trademark plural. Example "Unreal® EngineTM 3" should never be changed to "Unreal® 3 EngineTM" or "Unrealengine 3TM".

Use proper trademark attribution

Your use of the Epic Games trademarks must always be accompanied by the proper symbols and attribution. A trademark symbol is required for all prominent use of the mark, e.g., on websites, labels, packaging, promotional brochures, data sheets, press releases and advertisement headlines, except where space or style criteria prevent compliance with this requirement. The proper trademark symbol for the "Unreal" trademark is ® (superscript "(R)"). If you cannot use the special character symbol for some reason, a text replacement will suffice. (E.g., "Unreal(R)" instead of "Unreal®".) The proper trademark symbol for the "Epic Games", "Unreal® Engine" and “Unreal® Development Kit” trademarks is TM (superscript "tm"). If you cannot use the special character symbol for some reason, a text replacement will suffice. (E.g., "Unreal(R) Engine(tm)" instead of "Unreal® EngineTM".)

In addition to using the trademark symbol, you must always include the appropriate trademark attributions (depending on what trademark or logo you use) on your product packaging, documentation, or other location where legal notices are displayed.

Example

Unreal, Unreal Engine, Unreal Development Kit, the Unreal Technology logo and the UDK logo are trademarks or registered trademarks of Epic Games, Inc. in the United States and elsewhere.

Never use the Epic Games trademarks in the names of your products or services.
